Manual Therapy

  • Manual therapy consists of a variety of hands-on techniques that can improve joint range of motion, pain, mobility, stiffness, swelling, edema, muscle tenderness and more. Many conditions treated by physical therapists require skilled manual therapy. Be sure to ask a physical therapist if they provide manual therapy prior to starting care. Some clinics are too busy and do not devote time to one-on-one skilled manual therapy.
